Founded in 2020, Nasiya Lily is a boutique firm offering executive coaching services, training workshops and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion consultation. We work with leading executives across industries and rising high potential talent to take time to focus on development through self discovery. Our workshops are met with rave reviews as we challenge participants to dig deeper through courageous exploration.
Whether you are in need of a 1 on 1 coaching engagement to help you attain your goals or a group session to enable teams to drive culture shift, we offer multiple packages to meet your needs. We believe that you hold all of the answers, and it is our job to help tap into those truths and talents. Nasiya Acklen
Our founder and principal, Nasiya Acklen is a native of Nashville, TN. She matriculated on a presidential scholarship at Hampton University for her undergraduate degree and began her career with General Mills in the Consumer Food Sales division. After receiving her MBA from Cornell University on a Consortium fellowship, Nasiya transitioned into Human Resources at ExxonMobil. Following multiple successful roles, she became the first to serve as the company’s Inclusion & Diversity Advisor. Since that time, she was Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Discover Financial Services, and currently Nasiya is the Global Diversity Equity and Inclusion Director at Caterpillar Inc. overseeing the company’s DE&I strategy.
Nasiya is hailed as a strategic and influential leader with an exceptional ability to facilitate courageous conversations to meet people where they are on the journey. In addition to her daily responsibilities, Nasiya is a highly regarded speaker, offers DE&I consultation services, and runs an executive coaching practice. She successfully completed the CoachRICE Leadership Coaching Program and is ACC-certified though the ICF.
Nasiya is proud to have been inducted into the Hampton University 40 Under 40 Society in 2019 and to be recognized in 2021 as a Discover Financial Services President’s Award recipient. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated Kappa Lambda Omega chapter, the International Coaching Federation Tennessee chapter, and The Table Nashville. Nasiya serves on the board of Easterseals Tennessee and the DEI committee for the Nashville Public Library Foundation.
As a self-professed foodie, good dancer, and lifestyle blogger, Nasiya has adopted Maya Angelou’s quote as a personal mantra: My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
