“The true magic of Diversity Equity & Inclusion is only unleashed when we get comfortable being uncomfortable and have a willingness to actively address our blindspots.”

~ Nasiya

Led ExxonMobil Inclusion & Diversity
Global Strategy Development

“I have been so incredibly impressed by you in our few interactions. You’re so insightful, and I can tell you have a vision – love how you can coach others (at very senior levels) and get your point across while maintaining heart in the message. I’ve seen you do it with the team working on A Conversation on Race and I saw it in the ERG discussion. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.”

Won prestigious President’s Award
at Discover Financial Services

Nasiya is living proof that an employee with little tenure, but lots of passion and expertise, can make a big impact. The company’s focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) as a competitive advantage became more urgent as societal issues intensified last year. Nasiya first helped educate the DE&I Task Force. Then in just a week, she developed training that has contributed significantly to preparing employees internationally for stewarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the company. With less than six months on the job, her work has transcended business units, levels and location and reached more than 2,000 employees. She has instilled empathy and cultural competence on complex matters in a way that is approachable and practical.

Developed a ‘Women in the Workplace’
training to explore the nuanced
relationship of black and white women

“It was key for the Junior League of Charlotte to be intentional about creating safe spaces for our Women of Color to feel the community of our organization, less than 60 days after the state sanctioned murder of George Floyd. Partnering with Nasiya allowed us to create that safe space and explore the intersectionality of women within our organization. The courageous conversation allowed us to understand the systemic and historical background that sometimes make it complicated for women of different ethnicities to connect. Thank you Nasiya for providing us the framework necessary to establish common ground so we can serve the greater community.”
